1	BookEnd Trust Environmental Consulting Options Tasmania is very pleased to lend its support to the BookEnd Trust. This is an exciting new scholarship program developed by private supporters in partnership with the University of Tasmania. The innovative program aims to boost environmental awareness and to provide educational opportunities that might not otherwise exist. The BookEnd program is focussed on positive and cooperative approaches to environmental projects and is overseen by several high profile public figures and highly respected Tasmanian scientists. 2	Tasmanian Field Naturalists Club Mark Wapstra is an active member of the club and is currently the editor of the club’s annual journal The Tasmanian Naturalist. The club has monthly meetings, where a local scientist/naturalist presents a talk on something of interest (usually a fauna or flora group, current research, etc.), which is usually followed by an excursion to a local site to see the subject in the field.
3	Up Close Tasmania This web site displays the stunning photographic work of Peter Fehre, Malcolm Wells and Peter Tonelli, who specialise in digital macro photography of Tasmania's native orchids. Galleries of spectacular images are free to view and enjoy but can also be purchased from the photographers.
4	Birds Tasmania Birds Tasmania is the regional group for Birds Australia. Both groups are active in promoting the conservation management of Australia’s birds. Birds Tasmania has monthly meetings with presentations on a wide variety of ornithological subjects. The club also publishes a monthly newsletter (Yellowthroat) and an annual journal (Tasmanian Bird Report).
